Ice Cream Retro
A fun design that would increase seating and business was the objective for Tina Koch and her team. Space planning, lighting and furniture design were just some of the challenges. An idealized 1950s ice cream shop provided inspiration for the color theme of classic cobalt blue, red, black and white. Quilted-stainless flashing, stylized soffits and neon sinage all add to the ambience.

To save money, a red canopy and three-tier neon clock sign were fabricated in foam and vinyl floor tiles wre used instead of the hexagon ceramic tiles used in other MooTime locations. Thoughtful design of shorter booths increased seating capacity by 30 percent. Jurors deemed it a fun design, inviting and exciting for the customer.
